Don't Buy a CarPlay Box Until You See This ......

If you're considering purchasing a CarPlay box, stop right here. Before you make any decisions, it's crucial to determine whether your vehicle supports wired CarPlay or wired Android Auto. We will walk you through everything you need to know, so you can avoid buying a device that isn't compatible with your car.

How can you figure out if your car is equipped with wired CarPlay or Android Auto?

1. Check Your Owner's Manual
The first step is to consult your car's owner's manual. This is often the most reliable source of information, as it lists the detailed specifications of your vehicle, including support for wired CarPlay or Android Auto.

2. Connect Your Phone
You can also test it directly. Use a USB cable to connect your phone to your car's USB port. If your car supports wired CarPlay or Android Auto, a prompt will typically appear on the infotainment system, asking you to activate the feature.

3. Contact Your Dealer
Still not sure? Reach out to the official dealership of your car's brand. They'll have detailed records and can confirm whether your specific model supports wired CarPlay or Android Auto.

4.Check this link to find vehicles with existing CarPlay:Apple CarPlay(Keep in mind that this database does not cover every car with wired CarPlay.)

If your car supports wired CarPlay, all our CarPlay boxes are fully compatible.
If your car only supports wired Android Auto, only our Carplay AI Box Ultra and CarPlay AI Box ELite models will work for you.

Vehicles We Don't Recommend for CarPlay Box Installation

While CarPlay boxes can work wonders, they are not ideal for all vehicles. We do not recommend purchasing a CarPlay box for the following cases:

① Vehicles without wired CarPlay and wired Android Auto. (This includes many vehicles like whole BMW models, which typically only offer wireless CarPlay.)

② Vehicles that lack a touchscreen display.  For these older vehicles, we recommend the Versatile Audio Screen - a portable car stereo with DSP sound, CarPlay, Android Auto and mirror connectivity. It's detachable, plug-and-play, and even supports rearview cameras.

③ Vehicles equipped with an aftermarket CANBUS system. If your car has a CANBUS (decoder/protocol box), the CarPlay box may not function as intended.

④ Vehicles with an aftermarket stereo, except Pioneer, Sony, and Kenwood double DIN stereos that explicitly support wired CarPlay.
